HKIAIA Chairman Mr. Benson Yau attended the “The 3rd general meeting of the 3rd session” of Shenzhen Underwear Association on 12 Jan 2024 (Friday). In the meeting, it was mentioned that HKIAIA and the Shenzhen Underwear Association have conducted a series of exchange and cooperation activities, to jointly develop the intimate apparel industry in Shenzhen and Hong Kong.

Investment, Trade and Logistics Study Mission to Vietnam (22 – 26 October 2023)

In order to have the opportunity to timely grasp and understand the market environment, development opportunities, and potential partners in Vietnam, the Hongkong Knitwear Exporters & Manufacturers Association, the Hong Kong Woollen & Synthetic Knitting Manufacturers’ Association, the Hong Kong Shippers’ Council, and the Hong Kong Intimate Apparel Industries’ Association jointly organize a study tour to Hanoi, Vietnam from October 22 to 26, 2023.

This study mission was successfully concluded, thanks to the guests for their participation.

HKIAIA Chairman Mr. Benson Yau participated in the “Investment, Trade and Logistics Study Mission to Vietnam”. Visiting different organizations in Vietnam and attending sharing sessions, enables participants to communicate directly with local organizations to increase the understanding of doing business in Vietnam.

HKIAIA Chairman Mr. Benson Yau attended Qualifications Framework Ceremony and Sharing Session for Fashion Industry (12 October 2023)

In order to appreciate HKIAIA for actively promoting the Qualifications Framework (QF) and participating in the “Recognition of Prior Learning” mechanism, HKIAIA Chairman Mr. Benson Yau was invited by QF to attend the “Ceremony and Sharing Session” held in Xiqu Centre, West Kowloon Cultural District on 12 October 2023 (Thursday) to receive the commendation.

PolyU Fashion Show 2023

Organised by the School of Fashion and Textiles (SFT) of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), PolyU Fashion Show 2023 was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 28 June 2023. Our Chairman Mr. Benson Yau, Vice Chairman Mr. Matthew Lam, and Secretary Ms. Karen Ng joined the show and it was a pleasure for HKIAIA to be the diamond sponsor and present the HKIAIA Overall Grand Award to the winner Chong Wing Wa, Wingo (“Art Tour”). Ms. Karen Ng was the judge and Mr. Benson Yau was the award presenter in this event.

Meeting with the representatives of SIUF Organizer (9 June 2023)

HKIAIA met the representative of the organizer of China (Shenzhen) International Brand Underwear Fair (SIUF) on 9 June 2023 to discuss the cooperation opportunities of the intimate industry in Shenzhen and Hong Kong. The meeting was successfully conducted. The Hong Kong Intimate Apparel Industries’ Association met the representatives of Qingyuan on 21 March 2023 in the form of a networking event to understand the environment and business opportunities of Qingyuan City. The event received an overwhelming response and was successfully completed with the participation of several organization.
