HKIAIA Cocktail Party (2 Feb 2024)

HKIAIA is delighted to announce an upcoming standing cocktail party for our dearest members and friends at the three MICHELIN Starred Forum Restaurant. It aims to create a strong sense of camaraderie among our members and the industry, by creating a pleasant and informal atmosphere for networking and building meaningful connections.

 

Considering that carbon trading is an important topic in our industry, we have extended invitation to experts such as Mr. Kevin Ng, CEO of InnoBlock Technology Ltd., and representative from Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC) to deliver speech to share his insights with us during this event.

Technology is undoubtedly changing the fashion industry from design to merchandising. In the age of digital transformation, our industry has been witnessing a shift to relying more on Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence (AI). To adapt to the new trend and gain more understanding of the latest development in this area, the Hong Kong Intimate Apparel Industries’ Association (HKIAIA), Hong Kong Institution of Textile and Apparel (HKITA), Hong Kong Knitwear Exporters & Manufacturers Association (HKKEMA), Knitwear Innovation and Design Society (KIDS) and Sustainable Fashion Business Consortium (SFBC) co-organize a site visit to two research laboratories, Laboratory for Artificial Intelligence in Design (AiDLab) and the Hong Kong Research Institute of Textiles and Apparel (HKRITA) located in the Hong Kong Science Park.

AiDLab is the first research platform that focuses on the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) with design, while HKRITA is an applied research centre for the textile, apparel, and fashion industries. The visitors will be able to get a grasp on the research projects that strive to make a positive impact on the fashion industry.

Knitwear Innovation and Design Society – “Young Knitwear Designers’ Contest 2024” Finalists’ Show & Finalists’ Exhibition @ Shenzhen Fashion Week AW2024

Knitwear Innovation and Design Society (KIDS) organized the “Young Knitwear Designers’ Contest 2024” to provide a platform for young knitwear designers to develop their talents. The “Young Knitwear Designers’ Contest 2024” will showcase finalists’ Knitwear Collections at “Shenzhen Fashion Week AW2024 scheduled on 13 – 21 April at OCT Harbour in Shenzhen. There will be a “Finalists’ Show” on 20 April and “Finalists’ Exhibition” on 13 – 21 April. In this event, you will see Knitwear Design Collections from Hong Kong & Greater Bay Area. All these knitwear outfits are designed by the FINALISTS of the “Young Knitwear Designers’ Contest 2024”. Come visit at Shenzhen Fashion Week AW2024!
